Inspired by the warmth and vastness of the Australian outback, this abstract landscape explores the colours, textures and quiet beauty of the land. Layers of burnt orange, ochre and dusty pink evoke sun-baked earth beneath a hazy sky, while scattered trees punctuate the open landscape. Through expressive mark-making and textured layers, I’ve sought to capture not a literal place, but the feeling of being immersed in this ancient, sun-drenched country.
