About Me.

Hello!

I’m an artist based in Donvale, on Melbourne’s outer eastern fringe, and I paint intuitively with a strong love of colour, texture, and expressive mark-making. I’m drawn to creating work that captures a feeling or atmosphere rather than simply recreating a scene, and I love seeing a painting evolve through experimentation and instinct.

I’ve spent my professional life working as a stage manager in theatre and live events. Being surrounded by designers, lighting, sets, costumes, and visual storytelling had a huge influence on the way I see colour, composition, mood, and movement. Creativity has always been part of my world.

My connection to art started early, and I still keep the set of 72 Derwent Artist pencils I was given as a child. They remain one of my most treasured possessions and a reminder of the creative spark that has stayed with me throughout my life.

I enjoy exploring different styles and techniques, allowing each painting to find its own direction naturally. I’m especially drawn to impressionism and abstraction because they give me the freedom to respond emotionally to landscapes, wildlife, travel experiences, and everyday moments through colour and texture.

I work mainly in acrylic, building layers with bold colour, texture, and energetic brush or palette knife work. More than anything, I want my paintings to feel uplifting, expressive, and full of life - works that invite people to pause, connect, and simply enjoy the experience of colour and form.
