About Me.

Hello!

I’m a visual artist based in Melbourne’s outer east, working with a strong focus on colour, texture, and expressive mark-making. My work seeks to capture feeling and atmosphere, often evolving through layers of reworking and ongoing experimentation.

Creativity has always been part of my world. I’ve spent my professional life working as a stage manager in theatre and live events. Being surrounded by directors, designers, lighting, sets, costumes, and visual storytelling had a huge influence on the way I see colour, composition, mood, and movement.

I work mainly in acrylic, building layered surfaces with bold colour and energetic brush and palette knife work. Drawing on expressionism and abstraction, I respond freely to landscapes, wildlife, travel experiences, and everyday moments.

It turns out I’m not much of a repeater. Perhaps one day I will be. While many artists refine a single idea or style across a series, I’m continually drawn towards new subjects, places, techniques and ways of seeing. This constant movement between ideas is not a departure from my practice - it is my practice.
